Mining Sunday: become a miner for a day in Beringen

Become a ‘miner for 1 day’ at the Beringen Mining Museum during Mining Sundays

In this unique excursion, in small groups and accompanied by an ex-miner, you will discover numerous rooms in the historic buildings that normally remain closed to individual visitors! Look behind the walls of our bath room and pay hall, and discover where thousands of miners received their paychecks at the same time, where they washed each other’s backs, where they dried their soggy duffels. The tour continues through the plans room, report room, rescue room and “the director’s office.

Atmospheric, authentic and unforgettable, as most of our guides are ex-miners.
Who better to narrate in full color than someone who has experienced it themselves?
