At be-MINE, you swim in a unique environment, as the pool is located next to and around the cooling towers. Inside you will find a 25-meter pool, an instructional pool, a toddler and preschool pool, a recreational pool with slides and a wellness area with 4 saunas. In summer, there is an outdoor pool with lounging and playing field.
The climbing center can accommodate both the experienced and inexperienced climber. Climbers can indulge themselves on about 1,300m² of climbing wall.
Boulderers will find their liking in the bouldering area.
In the Clip ‘n Climb, you can enjoy a climbing activity full of challenge and fun for ages 4 and up. Fused with the automatic safety system, you can safely climb up to 9 meters.
Todi is the first indoor snorkeling and diving center in Europe where visitors can enjoy the wonderful underwater world in optimal and safe conditions, among colorful tropical freshwater fish and lifelike scenery elements.
Adventure Mountain guarantees challenges ; mountain bikers are sure to get their money’s worth on the trails offered. Two routes have been mapped out, one relatively easy and one more technically demanding. A skill park was built on an intermediate plateau with north shores and dirt. The MTB trail connects to the tourist bike trail and is part of a larger MTB network.
In addition to adventure, sportsmanship is the focus at be-MINE. Biking, hiking … be-MINE is the start for many biking and hiking routes.
Velotril is a trendy bicycle experience center with a wide mix of Belgian, Dutch and other top brands. Something for everyone, including classic bikes and e-bikes as well as the latest mountain bikes and road bikes.
Nothing is more relaxing than a day off on the pedals together! From be-MINE, many routes depart in the direction of Paalse Plas to recreation resort ‘t Fonteintje. Through the bicycle route network Limburg you reach all the beautiful spots of the area.

be-MINE also possesses a wealth of nature. What used to be a trash heap of accumulated rocks is now a hill where groves and clearings alternate. During your walk, you will be rewarded with stunning views of Limburg and the nearby garden districts.
You can also go out in the mining city where you will be immersed in a rich mix of cultures. Walking along the coal railroad towards the coal port … It’s all possible.
You can pick up a hiking map at the tourist office on the site.
There are two interactive walking apps “Beringen, the cité” and “Kolenspoor” ; you get to know life on the cité in a fun way.
And for the little ones, there is “On a scavenger hunt with Pierewiet the canary”, a playful family walk with cool do’s and searches and fun facts.
At Adventure Mountain, you can clamber, climb and explore. Through a forest of 1,600 poles, you reach the top of the terril via stairs, ropes courses, climbing structures, crawltunnels and hiking trails. For the real daredevils, there is a spectacular slide.
Our two imposing coal washes are getting a completely new (and green) use thanks to be-NATURE. Here we fuse heritage with nature.
be-MINE is the largest industrial heritage site in Flanders and is unique in Europe. Nowhere else is industrial heritage so well preserved as at be-MINE.
At the mining museum, relive the history of the discovery of coal. You will be interactively introduced to life and work in and around the coal mine. Never been to a mine before? Be sure to visit the underground simulation, featuring exciting anecdotes from former miners.
